As a cook, you sometimes face bigger challenges. If a bus registers at short notice and another 40 guests storm into the inn then you have to think of something. Such a situation requires a creative and flexible approach and a good idea.
The recipe comes from my first cookbook: Der Minutenkoch schmeckt.schneller. and brings a roast pork on the table in a short time. I wish you every success!
The basis for this dish is pork neck, sliced. Of course the dish can’t quite keep up with a traditionally prepared Bavarian roast pork because the Krusperl is missing, but still delicious! The trick is to use various convenience products to get a roast on the table as quickly as possible.
You won’t succeed with the crusty roast in the pot well, for this you need an oven, another meat and a little more time. Take a look at my recipe for traditional Bavarian crusty pork roast, it’s worth a try!

You need for the quick roast pork in the pot:
2-4 slices neck of pork
Root vegetables and potatoes
Half and half potato dumplings
gravy (cube or tube)
salt, pepper, marjoram

Quickly and deliciously prepare roast pork in a pot, recipe by Thomas Sixt with cooking video and many tips.
Prepare the potato dumpling mass on the basis of the information on the packaging, portion evenly with an ice cream scoop, form dumplings and boil in salted water. I'll make the dumplings rather small, then they'll be ready faster.
Put the sauerkraut in a saucepan, pour on some gravy and simmer at high heat. If it should go fast I cook the sauerkraut at the beginning always with lid and let reduce afterwards the sauerkraut juice with open lid. The taste is stronger.
Fry the pork slices on both sides in a pan or in a wide saucepan and let them take on colour. Add the thinly sliced vegetables and garlic, deglaze with gravy and beer and cook with lid.
Season the roast pork sauce Final with salt, pepper, paprika and marjoram, arrange roast pork from the pot. Sprinkle the dumplings with chopped parsley and serve with sauerkraut.
