Such a situation requires a creative and flexible approach and a good idea. 1. How to prepare Roast Pork in a Pot

The basis for this dish is pork neck, sliced. Of course the dish can’t quite keep up with a traditionally prepared Bavarian roast pork because the Krusperl is missing, but still delicious! The trick is to use various convenience products to get a roast on the table as quickly as possible.

You won’t succeed with the crusty roast in the pot well, for this you need an oven, another meat and a little more time. Take a look at my recipe for traditional Bavarian crusty pork roast, it’s worth a try!

You need for the quick roast pork in the pot:

  1. 2-4 slices neck of pork
  2. Root vegetables and potatoes
  3. garlic
  4. Half and half potato dumplings
  5. sauerkraut
  6. gravy (cube or tube)
  7. beer
  8. salt, pepper, marjoram

Ingredients
  • 1 Packung potatoe dumplings
  • 1 Päckchen Sauerkraut - Pickled Cabbage
  • 700 ml gravy
  • 2-4 Scheiben meat from neck of pork
  • 1 Stück garlic
  • 1 Bund soup vegetables carrots, celery, leek, parsley root
  • 2-4 Stück potatoes
  • 1 EL sunflower oil
  • etwas Paprika sweet spice
  • etwas caraway - cumin
  • 200 ml beer
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1/2 Bund parsley

Instructions
  1. Prepare the potato dumpling mass on the basis of the information on the packaging, portion evenly with an ice cream scoop, form dumplings and boil in salted water. I'll make the dumplings rather small, then they'll be ready faster.
  2. Put the sauerkraut in a saucepan, pour on some gravy and simmer at high heat. If it should go fast I cook the sauerkraut at the beginning always with lid and let reduce afterwards the sauerkraut juice with open lid. The taste is stronger.
  3. Fry the pork slices on both sides in a pan or in a wide saucepan and let them take on colour. Add the thinly sliced vegetables and garlic, deglaze with gravy and beer and cook with lid.
  4. Season the roast pork sauce Final with salt, pepper, paprika and marjoram, arrange roast pork from the pot. Sprinkle the dumplings with chopped parsley and serve with sauerkraut.
