- Always check legs or thighs with skin and remove any remaining quills. A pair of tweezers will do the job.
- Put the poultry in the fridge quickly after purchasing and prepare it within the specified shelf life.
- Cook the poultry well, the core temperature should reach more than 72°C for at least 10 minutes.
- Please preheat the oven, the oven setting hot air and a temperature of 200°C.
- You can use baking paper to save scrubbing the baking tray later.
- Rinse the chicken legs under cold water and pat dry before seasoning.

3. Seasoning variants for chicken legs
In the introduction, I promised you several variations on the preparation. Today, we’ll make it uncomplicated. Here are some ideas for you:
Season the drumsticks only with salt and pepper.
Seasoning with herbs:
Season the drumsticks with salt, pepper and dried thyme.
Seasoning with lemon and herbs:
Season the drumsticks with salt, pepper, thyme and lemon zest.
Season the drumsticks with salt, pepper, a little brown sugar, some curry and parpika.
Seasoning with garlic:
Finely chop garlic and grate finely with salt, goes well with all the above ideas.

Side dishes ingredients
|3||pc||tomatoes (I use organic tomatoes)|
|1||pc||garlic (I like to use young garlic)|
|1||tbs||brown sugar (Or stevia)|
|1/4||bunch||thyme (Or majoram for decoration)|
Preheat the oven to 200 ° Celsius. Prepare the roasting tray or baking tray. Wash the chicken thighs under cold running water and pat dry with kitchen paper.
Prepare the chicken legs, sesame seeds, tomatoes, garlic and cornflour. Alternatively, choose another variation from the article.
Mix cornflour with a little cold water. Dip the drumsticks in the starch water, season gently with salt and pepper, coat in the sesame seeds and place on a baking tray.
Alternatively, you can mix different sesame flavours in a freezer bag.
After dipping the drumsticks in starch water, place them in the bag and shake.
Place the drumsticks on a baking tray.
Cut the tomato in half horizontally in the middle and place the halves in a roasting pan with the cut side facing up. Halve the garlic in the same way and place it ready. Season both ingredients with salt, pepper, sugar and a little sugar. Place the drumsticks and vegetables in the oven and cook for 40 minutes. Check the degree of cooking of the poultry by cutting it or with a fork.
Arrange the vegetables on warm plates. Add the drumsticks and serve decorated with herbs. Enjoy your meal!
Note on thighs or legs: The chicken legs are the upper part of the (whole) thighs. If you only get thighs, you can divide them at the joint. The preparation of the divided thighs is quicker.
The chive sauce in the picture consists of one part sour cream and one part crème fraîche, salt, pepper, sugar, olive oil and chive rolls.
